Works?
Neat port. Not the newest available version of Darkest Dungeon as of 1.17.1 apk, but playing flawlessly even on relatively weaker chipsets. There’s little to say about Gameplay, Graphics, and Sound. Put it simply, it’s great.
Controls, specifically the Android port control, on the other hand, is clunkly. Firstly, many touch hitboxes are juuuust slightly misaligned, making it a bit harder to use in some part. Secondly, you need to long press items and trinkets, and occasionally skills, to pop up their tooltips. However, by doing so, your finger would be blocking the tooltips on the most part, making the control unintuitive for people, both for those with gremlin hands and those with yeti hands. Thirdly, you have to quick double-tap anything to drag and drop them. This one takes some getting used to, but not as uncomfortable as the other two control issues I mentioned.
Regarding mods, as I’ve said in the comments section, only mods from middle of June 2018 to early May 2020 are working flawlessly. That, or if they’re specifically mentioning, “For Pre-Butcher’s Circus.” If there are multiple archive files in the mod download page, just remember to download one that’s specifically posted with support for “Colour of Madness” DLC if you’re planning to use the mods with said DLC.

There’s seems to be problem, when I try to update the game it say, “the package is invalid” and I tried uninstalling and trying to download the newest version and it still shows the package is invalid
I haven’t uploaded to 1.7.2 yet, so I don’t know about the error. “the package is invalid” is a generic error. It can be signature mismatch, out-of-storage, bad signature, corrupted apk (bad download), etc.. So I can’t help you, the possibility is too broad.
Have you tried restarting your phone? This might sound like a tech support answer, lol, but I’m not kidding, restarting does help sometime.
Also see the minimum and target SDK of the APK. Version 1.7 minimum SDK is version 26 Oreo (Android 8). Maybe version 1.7.2 raised the minimum, either on purpose or by mistake. If that’s not it either, idk what to say
The error was first seen from 1.17.1 onwards, my phone is samsung a22 and has a sdk of 33 I believe, I have more than 30gb storage, I have restarted, I have re-download the apk multiple times and checked if they worked, I tried downloading the older 1.17 version and it works
The exact error was “the app could not be installed as the package is invalid “
