In 2015 and 2016, Mindbody acquired software developers FitnessMobileApps and HealCode. The integration of these companies ‘ solutions allowed Mind body to improve its own mobile application Mindbody connect, as well as to include proprietary web tools on its platform.
The acquisition of Lumber in 2017 allowed Mindbody to create an application that helps its customers to use the potential of unpopular or free activities and programs for a healthy lifestyle. According to Mind body, the number tools help to expand sales of programs to new customers who are offered trial classes or treatments. Mind body believes that this “try-buy” approach will help fitness studios and other clients attract new members.
