Open GApps or Google Apps, that is, applications from Google. The archive consists of applications and services developed by Google and installed on most certified Android devices. Why gapps need to be installed separately
Apps included in Google Apps are owned by the search giant, which prohibits the free use of programs without signing an agreement. At the same time, having a contract in hand, you cannot install Google Apps without certification. And since custom firmware always contains flaws and contradicts some “principles” of Google, you cannot use Gapps. Therefore, for the free distribution of third-party firmware, authors and developers do not include Google Apps.

Another reason for the lack of gaps in the firmware is the wasteful use of resources by some applications and services. And since the installation of third-party firmware is often dictated by the need to increase the performance of the device, some users refuse to use Google Apps and switch to third-party counterparts.
